Tech Tip #6---Fine Tuning Kazuma Meerkat 50 ATV Carbs
Solution This tip hails from a BMW Mechanic from Chicagoland.

In his strive for perfect tuning of the Meerkat engine he has increased the fuel or enrichened the carbs on the Meerkats. This is performed by unscrewing the top of the carb and pulling the slide out. You have to remove the slide from the throttle cable to get at the main jet needle. (Looks like a needle). You will enrichen the air/fuel mixture by raising the needle or lowering the clip. One notch should do it. Re-assemble and notice the performance increase and purr of the engine. Caution---small parts involved here and those clips really like to fly off and will surely get lost. Only do this in a well-lit, clean area. You will never find these clips in the grass! Also make sure your slide lines up with the tabs on reassembly to prevent stuck WOT. (wide open throttle). Test this thoroughly before junior or miss priss climbs aboard.
